Drew is currently the Investment Director at Information City Australia (ICA).

 

He is involved in providing early stage venture funding at a business incubator created under the Federal Government ICTIP initiative. Shareholders at ICA include, Ericsson, Allen & Buckeridge, JTP and Ballarat University.

 

Drew has been on the Mentré Panel (Refer: http://www.mentre.com.au/ ) since 2000 and was appointed Investment Director in 2005. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment lifecycle, from deal sourcing and execution through portfolio management, board representation and exit creation. 

 

Drew is a director of four portfolio companies in the high tech areas of microwave radar, photonics, energy harvesting and mems based manufacturing.

 

He is the Fonder and Pricipal Consultant of Metro Pacific Capital a corporate advisory firm founded in 1984. It provides strategic advice to early stage ventures, equity funding, business turnaround.

 

Drew possesses strong operational skills in early stage businesses requiring commercialization, IPO and turnaround.

 

Practised for some 15 years as a corporate lawyer and merchant banker; both in Australia and in London; he specialised in mergers and acquisitions, taxation and private equity transactions.
